Festival of Inclusion

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is delighted to host Festival of Inclusion from the 5th to 13th of October. The theme of this year’s Festival is linked with the European Year of Cultural Heritage, “Our heritage: where the past meets the future.”

Cultural Heritage is an important part of cultural and personal identity. With the make-up of Irish society changing rapidly, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council strives to celebrate the cultural heritage of all of our citizens. Sharing our cultural heritage with one another can broaden our understanding and create a more tightly-knit community.

What is Cultural Heritage?
Cultural Heritage is the stories, traditions, customs and languages passed through generations. It’s literature, art, architecture, dance, crafts and skills, natural habitats, monuments and buildings – in a word, anything that is important to a person’s identity.

You are invited to submit proposals for events to be held between the 5th and the 13th of October.

The Expression of interest form to be reurned by the 20th of July.  Copy of last year’s programme of events as a guide.

Forms are to be returned to

Mila Taylor, Social Inclusion Unit, Dún Laoghaire – Rathdown County Council, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin or email to: [email protected]

One Comment “Festival of Inclusion”

  • Marlay Park would be a perfect venue for this festival with its wonderful historical buildings and landscape. I will email the organiser with more specific ideas.
