DLR PPN Spring Networking Meeting/ Plenary took place on Tuesday, the 24th of March, from 7pm in the Crinken Centre, Shankill.

The three new Secretariat members were also ratified:

  • Rory Farrelly – nominated by Great Care Co-Op

We welcomed three speakers:

  1. Tim Ryan, dlr Harbour Operations Manager, who updated the membership about the Harbour Masterplan and the National Watersports Campus – The full masterplan and supporting info is available online here:https://www.dlrcoco.ie/dun-laoghaire-harbour/dun-laoghaire-harbour-master-plan
  2. Mary Lovegrove, who spoke about the new GreenKite funding available for DLR groups only – the link to recording of the webinar held by Community Foundation Ireland can be found at: Green Kite Fund information and webinar link
  3. Roger Warburton and Ash McCartan from the Rediscovery Centre, who updated the audience about the projects coming shortly to Dun Laoghaire from the Rediscovery Centre – the slides will be updated on this website shortly.

The evening ended with a warm message of thanks to all the DLR PPN members who joined despite the heavy rain and wind. The Staff and Secretariat extended a special ‘Thank You’ to Kay Gleeson for the many years of service on the DLR PPN Secretariat, following her stepping down from the team in December 2025. We were delighted to welcome her, the PPN representatives and Cllr. Thomas Joseph on the night.

Finally, the DLR PPN Team thanked the Crinken Centre and Church for welcoming us into their wonderful venue and Revered Thomas O’Brien and the volunteers who helped the evening run smoothly.

The Autumn Plenary Meeting will take place on the 30th of September – and registration details will be sent out closer to the date.
