Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council have opened a new walking and cycling route which links Bracken Road with the Sandyford Cycle Route. This will reconnect two areas on opposite sides of the M50 and will reduce cycling and walking times between Sandyford Village and Sandyford Business district.
The new route consists of a 114 m link between Bracken Road and the Drummartin Link Road and will help to promote Active Travel for local journeys.
