Building Connections – An invitation to the DLR community to meet and network. This is an opportunity for members of public to explore the many social inclusion, community, older people’s, environmental, youth, disability, resident associations, sports & activities, migrant communities groups operating across Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown. Organised by the DLR Public Participation Network in conjunction with dlr County Council.
In keeping with this year’s Festival of Inclusion theme, Building Friendships in the Community, DLR PPN and dlr County Council are hosting a community networking/showcase event in the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan on 15th May 2024 starting at 7 pm. The Cathaoirleach, Cllr Denis O’Callaghan, will open the event. We will be showcasing what is on offer in DLR and are inviting member groups and services to attend to raise awareness of what the county has to offer and how members of the public can get involved. We will have featured participants such as the Age Friendly Homes, DLR Integration Forum, the Adult Education Service South East, DLR Social Prescribing together with DLR PPN member groups such as Residents Associations, Sports Clubs, Youth groups, Men’s Sheds, Active Retirement Groups DLR PPN Secretariat, dlr County Council and members of the public. We will also have a couple of information stands in relation to community funding, such as the dlr County Council grants and the Dublin Rural Leader funding.
All members of the DLR Community are welcome to attend but we ask that you register in advance.
