Loughlinstown Wood Park – Open Space Upgrade Consultation

Deadline: 15th March 2024

Overview

Dlr County Council Parks are looking for your comments, observations and suggestions in relation to the future design & upgrade of the open space beside Loughlinstown Wood.

We invite you to share your views and aspirations for the park.

You can have you say by logging onto www.dlrcoco.ie and completing the Public Consultation on-line survey. Alternatively, you can complete the attached survey and post it to Dlrcoco Parks Section, Town Hall, Marine Road, Dun Laoghaire.  The survey will be live between 1st March and 15th March 2024.

The community feedback will help create a brief and specification for that design of a Masterplan for the open space section of Loughlinstown Woods & Park.

Objectives The consultation program aims to:

• Determine the main users of the open space

• Determine support for new initiatives

• Gather ideas from the community for active and passive recreation and biodiversity opportunities.

Consultation period: The consultation opens from Friday 1st March to Friday 15th March 2024. Community engagement activities being undertaken:

• Dedicated consultation website to complete the survey and share an idea

• Posters on site

• Email to Residents Association where possible.

• Local school workshops where possible

• Councillor notification

More than one survey can be filled out, for example; should a child or elderly family member have different preferences for what they would like to see in the open space, or a neighbour not have access to the internet we would be grateful if you took the survey on their behalf. They only take 2 mins to complete. This will provide a more accurate analysis to provide for the design brief.

Many thanks for your participation.
