Free Training and Awareness Programme to encourage more women to run in the Local Elections 2024.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in conjunction with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage are funding training with Women for Election to encourage more women to run in the Local Elections 2024.

A report on the issues discussed at our ‘TogetHER in Politics’ conference was noted by the Elected Members at the Council meeting held in July 2023 and is available through this link: ‘TogetHER in Politics’ Conference Report.

The report along with feedback following the conference highlighted the need for providing a space for women for both networking and training on the different aspects of running for election.

dlr and Women for Election are pleased to inform you of the following training courses in October and November which are free to attend. There are a mixture of in-person and online courses, and we would encourage you to book your place early for as many of the courses that you wish to attend.
